Welcome to the Website of the Rotary Club of Redding West, celebrating its 26th year of Rotary Service in 2009-10. Charted on April 16, 1984, our Club has a long history of serving the local community and collaborating on international projects that improve the lives of people here and in developing countries. As business leaders and professionals, we aim to exemplify the principles of the 4 Way Test. As individuals, we have a tradition of living the motto, Service Above Self. As an individual club we strive to have ‘Fun with a Purpose.’

Every year presents its challenges and opportunities in service. Our Redding West Rotary Club will continue to be one of the most active clubs in District 5160, with one significant project or activity pursued for every club member. Redding West understands the meaning of service, both in our Redding area community and in striving to support Rotary International in achieving such laudable goals as the eradication of polio from this planet.

Youth exchange and leadership development, and increased efforts to support local and international literacy projects, will be primary Rotary West Rotary Club priorities in the 2009-10 Rotary year.  These priorities will be pursued while continuing to promote membership fellowship and inter-club cooperation and interaction in jointly pursuing common goals. These activities will continue to be anchored by our club’s popular annual ‘Taste of Redding’ fun and fundraising event in June 2010.

The Rotary Club of Redding West is made up of exceptional individuals who, along with 1.2 million Rotarians in 33,000 Rotary Clubs in more than 160 countries, are changing the world with our work at home and around the globe, one act of service at a time.  To learn more about our activities and our Club, and to determine how visiting Rotarians might visit one of our weekly lunch meetings on Tuesdays at Noon at the Riverview Golf and Country Club, we invite you to contact us via this website.
