In 2008-2009 the Rotary Club of Redding West received a matching grant to fund a blood bank in Nigeria with support from Safe Blood Africa and eight other clubs in District 5160.

Rotary Youth Exchange

Redding West Rotary is proud to have sponsored Moritz Schwelthem, "Moe",  in 2008-2009 as our Rotary Youth Exchange Student.  He has been an outstanding ambassador, actively participating and making friends in our Club, at Shasta High School, and in the Youth Exchange Program.

On March 31, 2009, Moe was the program speaker and shared a PowerPoint presentation which included an overview of Switzerland’s politics and economy, photos of his family (and dog), their restaurant in Lucerne, and some of his activities and friends in Redding.
